“You’ve already done the hardest part; you survived the trauma. You are much stronger than you think you are.” - Sarah Newman

Trauma. Most of us do not identify with experiencing trauma, but we remember those really hard moments. Or we minimize our experiences with phrases like, “It’s not that big of a deal, other’s have it much worse.”

Trauma is any experience that floods us emotionally and pushes us outside of our processing window. In other words, while you may not consider your experiences traumatic as you reflect on them as an adult or at a later time, they may have been when you first experienced them.  However, that experience might still be affecting you, inhibiting relationships, keeping connections at a surface level and even impeding your ability to enjoy everyday life.

Let’s talk and explore if it would benefit processing the things you don’t consider traumatic as well as the things you do.
